                     "Rockin Summer Sweden Tour 2008"

Hello friends,

Just wanted to take a few minutes to tell everyone about my trip to Sweden a few days ago. It began a little rocky because I was supposed to fly out on Saturday June 7th, however, I arrived at the airport only to be told my flight was delayed until the next morning. Oh well, what can you do but go with the flow of things. So I didn't leave until Sunday, arrived in Sweden Monday around 11 AM and went straight to the venue of our first show. I felt a little rough but hey, the show must go on. The Cadillac Band and I ran through a quick sound check and it was "Showtime"! Needless to say the show went great and the audience was wonderful!

We had 2 days in between the next shows so I went to studio 88 near Gothenberg and met Werna the station's DJ, we did a radio interview and it was great to autograph her wall of fame! Lol! She's a great lady! Anyway, we saw some of the city and headed back to our hotel. The next day was practice which went very well, the guys in the band are very talented.

Friday we traveled 4 hours to Malmo to do a private party at this giant stadium. We went on at 10 PM and played for 3 hours to the most lively crowd I've ever seen, what a great time! The show ended at 1am we drove 4 hrs back arriving at 6am. We had to be ready to leave by 10 am to do the Nostalgia festival that day.

The Nostalgia Fest was so much fun and interesting for me. We performed at 11am and 2pm. In between I went to see all the antique cars and old vintage products that were on display from the 1950's, it was amazing what excellent condition all this stuff remained over the years. It's amazing to see what kind of influence American culture had on Sweden during that decade.I met many new fans and friends here, just wished I wasn't so sleepy!

Sunday we did a show in Floda Lada, it had a great turnout and I must say that show Rocked! Everyone was dancing and feeling the music, even the guys playing with me! There was just some kind of energy in the air!

While in Sweden,I made such wonderful, lifelong friendships with the guys in the band as well as the show! Mr.B, Rockin' Ronnie, Mats, M.P, Ulf, James Wages (AKA Elvis), Peter Jezewski, Tommy Blom and the one and only BB Cunningham( Jerry Lee Lewis' Bass Player).  Not to mention Eva & Claus the owners of the hotel we stayed in, Donna ( James' fiancee), and Peter,Charlotte, Ann and their daughter Camilla,Sven , Svadja,Peter and Mikael and Michel . I will never forget the kindness and warmth they showed me while there! I love you guys! and can't wait to see all of you soon in Memphis!

P.S. If anyone happened to be at any of these shows in Sweden and want to share your pictures just email them to me and I will post them here.
